High Court adjourns MLA Roja case

​Hyderabad: Justice P V Sanjay Kumar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday adjourned to Monday for further hearing a petition questioning the suspension of YSRCP MLA Roja from AP Legislative Assembly for one year.

The judge was dealing with a petition filed by the MLA contending that she was illegally suspended for the said period. She pointed out that her suspension by the Speaker was contrary to Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business Rules in the AP Legislative Assembly. She pointed out that according to the said rules her suspension had to be for the current session of the Assembly but not for a year.
