YSR Congress leader Gudivada Amarnath on Friday addressed the media at Nakkapalli where he said that the TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh is trying to tarnish the image of the YSR Congress by making comments against the party MLAs in order to divert public attention from the TDP poll promises.

Pointing out at the poll promises made by the TDP during the 2014 elections including the inclusion of Kapus in BC category, regularisation of services of contract workers and loan waiver for farmers, Gudivada Amarnath said that as it failed to fulfill the promises, TDP has resorted to making comments on YSR Congress MLAs. The YSRCP leader further said that TDP's declining popularity could be witnessed in the recent GHMC polls in Hyderabad and added that the party should focus on retaining its MLAs in Telangana and AP rather resort to other means.

He also said that that if given a chance the TDP members would join the YSRCP party in large numbers.
