Jains observe Maryada Mahotsav with traditional gaiety
Sri Jain Swetamber Terapanthi Sabha, along with its women and youth wings, has organised the 152 Maryada Mahostav of the tenets enunciated by Acharya Bikshu at Ram Mandir, Guru Nanak Colony in the city.

Addressing the gathering, Kunthu Shree said that the aim behind holding the mahotsav was to hold an interaction between the devotees and religious leaders. Jains should not violate the norms by the Maryada Palan.
All devout Jains should practice customs and conventions laid by Terapanthi Sabha as they help them lead a righteous life. One could attain meaning in life by following the tenets of saints and observing vrata, she said.
Secretary of the local branch of the Jain Swethamber Terapanthi Sabha Vimal Baid and East Legislator Gadde Ramamohana Rao also spoke on the occasion. Boys and girls offered prayers before the commencement of the function.
