Love for traditional classical music
Sumadhura Kala Niketan, a 43 year old capital based cultural organisation has conducted a two classical music concerts at Sri Veledandla Hanumantharaya Grandhalayam Hall on Sunday. Vocal concert of Chitta Deepak and Veena concert of Chitta Karthik have been arranged.
Sumadhura Kala Niketan, a 43 year old capital based cultural organisation has conducted a two classical music concerts at Sri Veledandla Hanumantharaya Grandhalayam Hall on Sunday. Vocal concert of Chitta Deepak and Veena concert of Chitta Karthik have been arranged.
The program started with the impressive vocal solo of Chitta Deepak from Hyderabad. Deepak won many awards and participating in concerts in and around the state.
He commenced the concert with Sri Deekshitar’s composition “Siddhivinayakam” in Shanmukhapriya Ragam and continued with another Deekshitar kriti “Hiranmayam Lakshmim” in Lalita Ragam, “Abhimanamennadu”, and a Thyagarajaswamy keerthana in Vivardhani ragam and “Ammaravamma” in Kalyani ragam.
He concluded his concert with an Annamaiah keerthana “Kshirabhdi kanyakaku Srimahalakshimki” in Madhyamavathi ragam. The performance of the artist was captured the auditorium with his fabulous voice. The concert well supported by Chandrakant on Violin and Kaladhar (Nellore) on mridangam.
Audience enjoyed the Veena concert of Chitta Karthik, who started her music journey from his childhood Karthik started the recital with Deekshitar Kriti “Mahaganapatim Bhaje” in Nata ragam and continued with the composition of Thyagarajaswamy “Bantureethi Koluvayya Rama” (Hansanandini ragam), “Ninuvina na nadendu” (Navarasa kannada ragam), another Deekshitar keerthana “Kamakshi Kamakoti peetha vasini” (Simhedramadhyama ragam).
Able instrumental support was rendered by Kaladhar (Nellore) on mridangam Sumadhura also felicitated the winners of Nandi awards in the same programme. Dr. PVN Krishna, Venkata Rama Raju, Yagnanarayana, who got awards in the Padyanataka Category, E. Ramesh Babu, R. Vasudeva Rao, Srijaya, Rampilla Mohana Krishna, Seetaram in the social Play and Playlet category, received the awards from the President of the organisation S Narasa Raju. The General secretary P Vijaya Bhaskara Sarma, Joint Secretary B Rama Surya Prakash, V Prabhakar and others participated in the programme.
