YSRCP MLA Roja has no cut in salary despite suspension
YSRCP MLA Roja\'s plea to grant stay on the AP Assembly decision of her suspension from the Assembly was rejected by the High court on Wednesday.
YSRCP MLA Roja's plea to grant a stay on the AP Assembly decision of her suspension from the Assembly was rejected by the High court on Wednesday. Roja had approached the Court questioning her suspension of one year from AP Assembly, however, her petition was rejected. The High court has issued a notice to the AP Assembly secretary for submitting the counter affidavit on Roja's petition.
Arguing that the one-year suspension is against the rules, Roja's lawyer Prakash Reddy appealed to the Court to grant a stay. Advocate General stated that the suspension was done as per the rules and mentioned that there was no cut in the salary of the MLA. YSRCP MLA Roja got suspended from the AP Assembly by Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao for making unparliamentary remarks on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
