CRDA officials on Saturday conducted a review meet on the AP Capital master plan in Vijayawada sub-collectorate office. The meeting was to create awareness among the farmers on issues related to resources and utilisation of land. The farmers will be able to clarify their issues on the agriculture zone and other matters before February 29, 2016. However, the TDP leaders, including MLAs who backed the CRDA master plan have spoken against it now.

Voicing their concern over the CRDA plan, the TDP MPs and MLAs including TDP MP Keshineni Nani, Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamshi are raising doubts over the Krishna district and the farmers in the district. Stating that the value of the farmers' land in Krishna district has come down from crores to Rs 10 lakh, the TDP leaders said that the farmers would be worst hit.

Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana said that the realty sector has been hit badly with the announcement of the Krishna district as an agricultural zone. He also added that the master plan is being discussed all over in the district and the farmers are expressing their worry over it.
