MLA Bhuma Nagireddy who along with his daughter Akhila Priya and three other YSRCP leaders joined TDP on Monday asserted the his reason to join Telugu Desam party is to focus on the growth and development of their constituencies.

Stating that there were no strained relations with YSR Congress President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Bhuma Nagireddy said that TDP was no new territory for him as he mainly came from TDP background. He added that YS Jagan took care of his family but wants to focus on developing his constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Bhuma Nagireddy's daughter Akhila Priya said that she is ready to fulfill the promises made by her mother Shobha Nagireddy and work towards the people's concerns in her constituency.
