Cultural troupe of Mahila Kalasala wins national honours
The students of SDM Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala who are part of Phone Orchestra troupe (folk art), that represented Krishna University at the Mysore University\'s ‘Yuva Sambaramu-2016’ won first prize in the category, said principal of the College T Vijaya Lakshmi.

In a release to the media here on Wednesday, principal said that the students troupe which earlier performed at national events and at USA have been sent to represent Krishna University at the 31st Inter University Youth Festival, organised jointly by the Association of Indian Universities and Ministry of Youth Affairs.
The programme was held at Mysore University in Karnataka from February 15 to 19. Our students, who performed folk dance with traditional music instruments secured first prize, she said.
She also mentioned that Krishna University alone has been nominated to represent the State at national level inter university meet for the year 2016. On the occasion, the management of Siddhartha Academy extended their appreciation to the students. Team coordinators Sarala Devi and Uma are congratulated as well.
