Free breast & cervical cancer screening camp
Apollo Hospitals in association with Grace Cancer foundation has conducted Mega Breast and cervical cancer screening camp on Wednesday at Bible Mission Grounds, opposite Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Dr Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Consultant Surgical Oncologist, Apollo Cancer Institute, Hyderabad, had been a part of this Mega Camp and successfully conducted itt ill the end. Under his supervision Breast Screenings & Cervical Screenings were done.
The breast cancer screening by means of breast awareness was conducted for 2,970 women. Audio visuals were used for training on appropriate examination of breasts and training was given for self-examination .
This was conducted under single roof and this is the largest simultaneous breast self-examination ever in the world. The previous record for the same was for about 2038 women. This is an attempt for Guinness world records. More than 125 doctors and 300 nurses participated in the event.
Similarly for cervical cancer, about 1250 pap smears were done on a single day which is the largest ever. This is again attempt for Limca Book of Records. There has been tremendous response in terms of participation for breast cancer screening and cervical cancer screening.
