Making an appeal to President Pranab Mukherjee to send AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to jail for his involvement in corruption and anti-people governance in the state, YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday met the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Discussing the main agenda of the meet - special status to Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan urged the President to help achieve the special status for which the YSR Congress party has been fighting ever since the state bifurcation in 2014.

In the wake of the recent turn of events where four YSRCP MLAs changed loyalties and joined TDP, YS Jagan responded saying that Chandrababu managed to get only a few MLAs even after his vigorous efforts to lure all the MLAs particularly with the promise of cabinet berths. Addressing the media after the meet with the President, Jagan saluted the party MLAs who didn't get tempted into Chandrababu's fraudulent schemes. While the YSRCP President revealed that President responded positively on all the issues, he along with party MPs YV Subba Reddy, Mithun Reddy, Avinash Reddy and Varaprasad submitted a memorandum listing all the irregularities of the Chief Minister.
