MLA explains traffic woes of Eluru to CM
MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao urged the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, to sanction Rs 120 crore for construction of wing flyover, flyover expansion and roads construction to solve the traffic problem in Eluru city. The MLA submitted representations to the Chief Minister when the latter came to participate in the Kapu Runa Mela programme at indoor Stadium on Wednesday here.
Eluru: MLA Badeti Kota Ramarao urged the Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, to sanction Rs 120 crore for construction of wing flyover, flyover expansion and roads construction to solve the traffic problem in Eluru city. The MLA submitted representations to the Chief Minister when the latter came to participate in the Kapu Runa Mela programme at indoor Stadium on Wednesday here.
The MLA said that people from 400 villages would come to Eluru daily as it was the headquarters of the district. With this, frequent traffic problems were arising in the city. The flyovers constructed decades ago could not meet the traffic needs, the MLA said. He said in view of the problem, it is necessary to expand the flyovers with an estimated cost of Rs 75 crore.
The Chief Minister assured the MLA that he would release funds for the all-round development of Eluru city and would direct the officials to prepare a comprehensive plans for it.
