Oasis reproductive centre to come up in city
The only fertility centre in the State to offer In-vitro Maturation, Oasis- centre for reproductive medicine will be inaugurated by Minister for Medical Education and Health Kamineni Srinivas in the city on Sunday. The centre, which had 4 branches in Hyderabad, has ventured into Andhra Pradesh from Vijayawada.

Addressing the news persons here at the clinic on Friday, Clinical head Dr Sujatha Vellanki said, “Oasis is the centre which solely deals with the infertility problems and comes out with favorable treatment procedures for men and women. Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening (PGS) for couples who get married within the relations is an additional feature that the centre offers besides the regular ICSI, Laser assistant hatching and Oocyte Vitrification for women and PESE, TESA and other Andrology services.
Complicated cases like PCOS, recurrent IVF failures, recurrent miscarriages, pre-mature ovarian failures and severe male factor infertility are treated at the clinic, which has a success rate of more than 55 per cent overall.” She further added that they do not offer obstetric services and only focus on ensuring that the woman conceives. “After observing the condition of the woman post conceiving, we make sure the embryo is stable and she will be asked to visit the regular obstetrician and need not visit us again.”
