Students of MVR College of Engineering and Technology here on Wednesday showcased a variety of scientific models that are to be displayed at the two-day National level academic and cultural symposium ‘Technotsav-2k16’ at its campus at Paritala on March 4 and 5.

More than 200 projects and science models on the latest achievements of the country in the field of science and technology such as smart parking, straddling bus, pedal operated water pumping system, spray painting machine, square hole drilling machine, Bluetooth home automation, solar hacksaw cutter, multi axes modern tuck, replica of Durgamma Varadhi were some of the models displayed by the civil, mechanical and EEE students on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, College chairman M Srinivas Babu said that the two-day symposium will witness many technocrats across the State. ‘We are expecting 1,800 aspirants from different engineering and management colleges participating and showcasing their projects or skills in the event. To develop marketing skills, the college management will also allot stalls to the students to market their products, he said.

College Principal PV Naganjaneyulu said that along with technical events, competitions will be also conducted for the students in cultural events like traditional and western dances, fashion show, short-films, spot photography and painting.
