The Andhra Academy of Arts will conduct 13th MS Murthi Memorial Art Competitions for schoolchildren and drawing teachers at Sri M S Murthi Lalit Kala Art Gallery at Mutyalampadu here on March 6.
Academy secretary M V Saibabu said that the competitions were being organised as a mark of respect for the commendable services rendered by eminent artist Late MS Murthi for the promotion of art to establish an art gallery in the city.
The drawing teachers and students can chose a topic or theme of their choice. The competitions will be conducted in three catogaries; sub-junior, juniors and seniors. Entry is free and drawing sheets will be supplied to the participants.
Three consolation prizes will be awarded to the participants along with winners and runners, he said. For further details regarding the competition one can contact at the academy office near Sai Baba Mandir at Mutyalampadu, he added.
