Personality development workshop conducted

‘There is no shortcut to success and students need to have self-confidence to achieve their goals’, said noted psychologist and personality development counselor BV Pattabhiram.

He was speaking at workshop on ‘Personality Development’ organised by the Department of English of PVP Siddhartha Institute of Engineering and Technology (PVPSIT) at its campus here on Thursday.

Pattabhiram said many students suffer setbacks due to the lack of communication skills, fear, tension, inferiority complex and lack of concentration and memory. Overcoming these was not impossible and students needs a proper planning and self-motivation for which there were several methods.

He explained how to cope with the stress that comes with examinations and ways to keep cool and glued to the task of achieving success. He also advised students to cultivate professionalism along with discipline to prosper in their chosen profession.

Convener of PVPSIT Boyapati Sriramulu, College principal K Shivaji, Department of English Head Dr Ch Padmanabha Raju and other faculty members were also present during the session.
