Special NSS camp in Idupulapaya
Fifty NSS volunteers of IIIT located at RK Valley, Idupulapaya have been holding a special camp for the last four days in the Idupulapaya village which they have adopted under the leadership of coordinator Bhaskarayya . They have been organising rallies besides visiting each house to create public awareness on the importance of health, environment, government schemes, literacy, besides voting rights.
On the eve of the International Women’s Day, the students have been explaining to people on the need for women’s safety, employment opportunities for them and enlightening them about the ill-effects of child marriages.The camp will continue for a week. On Tuesday there will be spots and quiz competitions for women of the village and children.
There will be an pictorial exhibition on various topics. Among those present were Sarpanch Kavali Vijaykumar, Upasarpanch Sankar, residents Harinath, Sasi, Naresh, Siva. They are encouraging the NSS volunteers.
