Subsidised kidney screenings to mark World Kidney Day
On the occasion of World Kidney Day, Vijaya Super specialty hospital in the city has announced special packages for diagnosis of Kidney related issues. They also stated that their hospital will now entertain treatment procedures under NTR ArogyaSri scheme.

Addressing the newsmen here on Wednesday, Nephrologist Dr G Sarath Babu said that they are organizing free kidney tests for registered candidates at their hospital on Thursday. ''Tests worth Rs 1500 will be offered for Rs 700 under special Kidney diagnosis package that includes ultrasound scannings.
So far the hospital has transplanted 100 kidneys successfully, a few being under the Jeevandan programme. Treatment for Orthopaedic problems is being offered for free at the hospital under Health Scheme of the government'', he mentioned. Urologist Dr N Hari Prasad, Orthopaedician Dr D Srinivas, Chairman of the hospital G Venkata Rao and others were present.
