Amaravati youth create own platforms with photography and modeling

Photography has undoubtedly emerged as one of the best hobbies and profession among the graduates as well as students. Owning a digital camera and experimenting with it is now considered a way to pass time. This phenomenon is not only helping the youngsters to experiment with craft but is also throwing open opportunities for them to gain recognition and identification among others.

Thanks to the internet and social media, which have completely banished the boundary lines for sharing and communicating things. These budding photographers upload their clicks of friends, nature, things, incidents and etc to their page on social network sites like facebook, instagram and gain likes from their followers. With not much of expenditure, the way to success has become a lot easier for a generation who are looking up towards social media for promotion.

Another notable feature of this trend is that the photographers are easily finding models for their project in the form of their friends. Many women, who like getting clicked in various attires with properties and amidst nature are volunteering to pose. It has become an opportunity for both the student turned photographers and models. With earning popularity among the circle, young girls are nailing opportunities to work with local fashion shows, promotional events and etc.

Vamsee Krishna Deevi, who runs a page on facebook under his signature says, “I found interest in photography during my college days. Though starting it as a hobby, I later took it up as a serious activity. My friends came up to offer support by posing for my portfolio which is eventually beneficial to both of us. Today, I am busy earning Rs 30,000 with just two days of work. There are assignments for product photography for advertising agencies and photo shoots too.”

Another photographer and short film maker known as Rocking Rajesh who ventured into media from Engineering shared, “When you work with your friends, the comfort levels are rather different than what one has to deal with others. It is very economically viable because, friends are ready to pose for us as they find it fun. Moreover, they get to take home some nice pictures they can post online.”

Nikitha Miryala, who uploads clicks frequently on her instagram and facebook account says, “I like being photographed and most of my pictures are captured by my sister. I get lot of appreciation for them on social media. I also got an opportunity to model for a leading jewellery showroom on their launch of new collection, recently.” There are a group of young girls who are bagging opportunities as such in the city.
