Many students from the city took part in the seminar on ‘Overseas Education’ organised by the Visu Academy Ltd at Siddhartha Auditorium here on Sunday. The students on the occasion dispelled their doubts over the courses offered by the universities and institutions in USA, UK, New Zealand, Australia and Germany.

Speaking on the occasion, Academy general manager U Balasubramaniyam said that there had been a sustained interest among the students from Vijayawada in pursuing higher education abroad over the years. Majority of the students who are aspiring to study in abroad have been failing to obtain details of topmost universities and in the institutions that don’t have proper recognition.

There was an urgent need to create awareness among the students and parents with the global issues and education system abroad, he said. Academy regional manager KSR Anjaneyulu said that majority of the parents feel that overseas education was an expensive proposition and was beyond their financial capabilities.

Students who are interested to pursue education abroad should get good scores in GRE, GMAT, TOEFL and IELTS to avail scholarship in the universities. He advised students to develop the ability of communicating in multiple languages besides simultaneously pursuing education/employment while studying in foreign universities, he said.
