“Prapancha Kavita Dinosthav” was observed by the Department of culture and literature, Government of Andhra Pradesh on Monday at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Monday evening.  Audience enjoyed the sonnets rendered by the poets.

On this occasion, about 20 poets participated in this event and each one presented their poem. The event was made more relatable to when the some of the poets chose current subjects and present day needs such as Cell phone, face book, whatsapp to talk about.

Dr Gumma Sambasiva Rao mentioned about gadgets in his writing. Busurapalli Venkateswarlu had chosen ‘mother’ as his subject. Ravi Rangarao said that he needed only a pen for writing his sonnet but not weapons.

Dr Nagabirava Adinarayana on ‘Religion’, MV Krishna Rao Dr GV Purnachand, General Secretary, Krishna District Rachayitala Sangham and Hymavathi and others were also presented their writings on the subjects like exams, welfare of women and their rights and Love.

Kuchpudi Natyaramam Chairman Kuchibhotla Anand presided over the function and said that Telugu literature is very sweet and the writers can use their pen to address the present social problem to create awareness in the public.
