Organised jointly by the Cultural Centre of Vijayawada and Natyaswara the event aimed to promote the art forms in the city. According to ‘Natyadharmi’, physical expressions, gestures and emotions are important for any dancer to exhibit their talent.

The same was experienced in this show and the artistes made a way into the audiences’ hearts with their style and charm. The programme commenced with Raisa Luthar’s impressive Bharatanatyam item “Krishna Begave” in Yamankalyan raga. The Kathak dance items “Teen Tal” in Gorak Kalyan ragam and “Rama Bhajan” in Misrapeelu raga captured the attention of the audience.

Sindhuja presented the items “Swarapallavi” in Hamsadwani Ragam, Narayanateertha taramgam “Govardhana giridhare” in Mohana ragam in Kuchipudi style. Mythili Anoop presented “Thillana” (Hussiani ragam) and “harivarasanam” (Madhyamavathi ragam) in Mohiniattam forum
The programme concluded with the “Thillana” in Kuchipudi style by Dr Himabindu Kanoj. She also performed Annamacharya keerthana “Muddugare Yashoda”.

In a brief meeting Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, MLA addressed the gathering and said that the government will promote these cultural arts. Dr V Ramudu, Director, CRDA, Sandeep, CEO, Malaxmi property Ventures, Dr E Sivanagi Reddy were also present on the event.
