Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu visited Velagapudi, where construction is underway for the temporary Secretariat, and enquired about the quality and progress of works. He visited six blocks on the premises. Reviewing progress of the works, he instructed officials concerned to expedite the works so as to complete the works by June 15. He instructed the officials not to compromise on quality and asked them to take necessary steps to avoid any untoward incident.

The engineering officials of the CRDA, L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji construction companies’ engineers assured him that they would complete the works within the stipulated time. This is first visit of the Chief Minister to temporary Secretariat in Velagapudi. He was to visit Velagapudi on March 7, but was cancelled in the last minute.

Meanwhile, the CRDA and officials have taken steps to develop infrastructure in areas in and around Tulluru. It is Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana who is overseeing the works on daily basis. After inspecting works at temporary Secretariat, the Chief Minister headed to Malkapuram and examined ancient inscriptions carved out during queen Rudramadevi reign.

According to the book written by Tullur tashildar Anne Sudhirbabu, Rani Rudramadevi carved out ancient inscriptions on stupam in Malkapuram 755 years ago on March 25. He garlanded the idol of queen Rudramadevi. Minister P.Narayana, Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravn Kumar, officials explained him about ancient inscriptions. Later he went back to Vegalapadu from where he left to Vijayawada.
