Training for farmers organised
Tirupati: Hyderabad based Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas (I-SERVE) conducted a training programme for farmers on the relevance and adaptability of natural farming technologies of Vedic period, here on Thursday. I-SERVE scientist K Srinivasulu Reddy exhorted the farmers to adopt the Vedic technologies in agriculture for soil fertility improvement and better crop productivity. Social Activists and Federation of Farmers’ Association state president Manganti Gopal Reddy highlighted the need for organic technologies and to reduce middlemen role for the benefit of farmers and consumers.
Dr KVRS Murthy, Director of Research,I-SERVE appealed to the farmers to faithfully adopt the ancient natural farming technologies which are not only eco-friendly and environmentally safe, economically viable and sustainable, and not to drive the farmers into debt traps and prevents suicides across the country.
