As many as 33 players from Krishna district took part in the event, which was held in five rounds. Juluru Akshit Kumar bagged second position, while P Nikith Krishna and Lanka Swetha Sree were placed in third and fourth positions.

Andhra Pradesh Chess Association secretary D Srihari, Global Chess Academy chief coach Shaik Khasim given away the special prizes. Doyal Naidu R and Shaik Arshad Baba (Under-7), Vishnu Komanduri and Ashish P (Under- 9), T Sriram and Sohit Podila (Under -11) were also given prizes. Consolation prizes were given to Nabeeha, Joshika, Julekha Bahaar and Sharanya P on the occasion.
