The silver jubilee celebration of M K Gandhi School in the city had all the enthusiasm, zeal of youngsters and toddlers who had come together for it. 

The silver jubilee celebration of M K Gandhi School in the city had all the enthusiasm, zeal of youngsters and toddlers who had come together for it. The auditorium of the Siddhartha Degree College came alive on the evening of Wednesday as girls turned up in colorful traditional attires.

Toddlers came all dolled up to take part in the cultural activities that were lined up for the event. A string of dances like folk dance, classical dance and western numbers enthralled the gathering. Theme based dance performances grabbed the attention of the gathering.

Principal B Ravi Prasad spoke about the institute’s inception and its gradual growth to success. “I started the school with a strength of 60 students and now it has 700 students studying in it besides tough competition from corporate education. It has been a rewarding experience to groom children according to the trends,” he said.

Meanwhile, MLCs Boddu Nageswara Rao and A S Rama Krishna also were present for the event. Both the guests asked children to pursue courses that they interest them and turn out to become citizens with social responsibility. They bid farewell to the students of class 10 on the occasion while the kindergarten students were given certificates of convocation.
