Good response to Ugadi cookery contestÂ
On the occasion of Ugadi festival, the Inner Wheel Club in association with PVP Square mall has organised an Andhra Food Preparation contest here at the mall on Friday. Many enthusiastic women from the city have displayed their recipes at the competition.
On the occasion of Ugadi festival, the Inner Wheel Club in association with PVP Square mall has organised an Andhra Food Preparation contest here at the mall on Friday. Many enthusiastic women from the city have displayed their recipes at the competition.
Chef from a famous star hotel in the city, Brijesh Thakur and president of Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada Midtown G Malleswari judged the delicacies that were arranged in rows at the mall, before they selected the first best three out of them. Gift hampers and cash awards were given away to the winners.
Living up to the tradition, many women and young girls who took part in the competitions prepared delicacies at home and arranged it for judgment. Pulihora, Payasam, Purnalu, Boorelu, Ugadi Pachadi, Amaravati Junnu, Bobbatlu, Mixed vegetable rice were among the dishes that were displayed besides a large variety of snacks. Marketing Manager of the mall Pramod and others were present.
