A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice P Naveen Kumar on Thursday directed the government of Andhra Pradesh to complete election process to the municipalities of Kakinada and Kurnool.  

​Hyderabad: A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice P Naveen Kumar on Thursday directed the government of Andhra Pradesh to complete election process to the municipalities of Kakinada and Kurnool.

AP Advocate General P Venugopal informed the court that the government would finish finalising the list of SCs, STs and BCs and the pre-election process by Sept 23, 2016. The counsel for the State Election Commission informed the bench that the Commission would require 45 to 60 days from the completion of the pre-election process to conduct elections. The bench directed them to conduct the elections to the said municipalities by the end of November 2016.
