Tirupati: The beauty, charm and elegance of Lord Sri Rama enhanced by many folds when He took a celestial ride on the bright Suryaprabha Vahanam on the seventh day of the ongoing Brahmotsavams of Kodandarama Swamy temple here on Sunday. A large number of people gathered to have a glimpse of the deity decorated with dazzling ornaments was taken out in a procession in the four Mada streets around the temple.
The colourful kolatams and bhajans by troupes from various places added colour and zest to the Lord’s procession and the Vedic chanting by the priests enhanced the religious spiritual ambience. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Rama belongs to Suryva vamsam which is also known as Ikshvaku dynasty. Ikshavaku was the son of Lord Surya.
