As part of weekend cultural programme, the department of culture under Government of Andhra Pradesh organised ‘Kuchipudi Dance Recital’ at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College on Sunday. The programme commenced with Devi Stuti, a traditional classical dance followed by Pranavaakaram.
The disciples of Chinta Ravibalakrishna, a choreographer who is the recipient of “Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Purashkar”, showcased these dance items. ‘Sri Ganapati Stuti’ by Maddali Sai Chnadrika, Ambika and Pravallika, ‘Astapadi’ by Sai Chandrika, ‘Sankara Srigiri – Siva Stuti’ by Lasya Pranati, ‘Vachenu Alavelumanga’ by Ambika, ‘Sivastakam’ by Koustubha, Mahati, Manogna, Likhita, Gayatri, Saranya and Brindalika were presented in this programme.
