Krishna District Collector Babu A inspected the Krishna Pushkar ghat works on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Additional Commissioner of Police Mahesh Chandra Ladda and Joint Collector G Chandrudu. Around 60 officials inspected the Pushkar ghats of Krishna river by travelling in RTC bus. 

Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Babu A inspected the Krishna Pushkar ghat works on Tuesday. He was accompanied by Additional Commissioner of Police Mahesh Chandra Ladda and Joint Collector G Chandrudu. Around 60 officials inspected the Pushkar ghats of Krishna river by travelling in RTC bus.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that the facilities at the Pushkar ghats should be useful for devotees. He warned of serious action if irregularities were noticed in Pushkar works. He said the roads leading to Pushkar ghats should be developed. He said barricades should be arranged at the bathing ghats.

The Collector asked the officials not to waste the funds and repair the existing ghats wherever necessary. When the students of Valluripalem village appealed to the Collector to lay a road as they were facing problems to reach the school, the Collector asked the Panchayat Raj SE to prepare necessary proposals and submit a report.

When the villagers of Devarapalli asked for bus service on Krishna river bund, the Collector said that mini buses would be operated on the bund. Villagers of Totlavallu complained that they were unable to get free sand. The Collector directed the revenue officials to ensure supply of free sand to people.

Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian, Sub-Collector G Srujana, Assistant Collector Saloni Sudan and irrigation officials accompanied the Collector.
