Swarajhuri, a cultural organisation striving to promote Indian music in the city, is celebrating its 28th annual celebrations by organising a three- day music festival which started on Tuesday.

Swarajhuri, a cultural organisation striving to promote Indian music in the city, is celebrating its 28th annual celebrations by organising a three- day music festival which started on Tuesday.

Renowned musician Pemmaraju Surya Rao inaugurated the festival and said “The organisation conducts regular musical programmes and boost the inherent talent in youth apart from conducting programmes with exponents of musical field.”

The chief guest of the function, Omkara Narasimham, secretary, Vignana Vihar Educational Institutions expressed that these art forums should strictly be implemented from school level to develop ethics and unity. He said that better society could be built through art forums only and also urged the public to extend their helping hand to promote these fine arts.

“Vaggeyakara Nadayoga Vibhavam”, a conceptual musical feature played by women from Bhimavaram, Tanuku, Guntur, Achanta, and Velpur. was presented by Bhamidi Kamala Devi, principal, Rayasam Rajyalakshmi Music College, Tanuku as inaugural event. T S Ramachandra Rao presided over the function and the General Secretary Modumudi Sudhakar conducted the meeting.
