Andhra Cricket Association’s three-day workshop for umpires
Andhra Cricket Association had scheduled a 3 day workshop for the Cricket Umpires at ACA Mangalagiri stadium grounds.
Andhra Cricket Association had scheduled a 3 day workshop for the Cricket Umpires at ACA Mangalagiri stadium grounds. 50 Umpires enrolled themselves for this workshop To provide the training sessions for the Umpires a faculty consisting the mix of BCCI Umpires and Scorers were set under the directions of Ramakrishna, Senior Umpire of ACA Arun Kumar, Joint Secretary, ACA said, “Umpiring is a very important career and tough. An Umpire should be utmost cautious, since his decisions will make or break the careers of cricketeers.”
CR Mohan, Media Manager, ACA said that now a days Umpiring career is very lucrative with good remunerations. Also advised all the members to take S.Venkatraghavan former Test cricketer converted as test umpire from India and Stev Buckner of Jamaica (who officiated consecutively 5 world cups, finals) as roll models.
K Ramesh Central Zone Secretary, ACA requested all the members who enrolled in this workshop to concentrate on the subject and take maximum mileage. B Bapuji, Logistics Manager, was also present.
