YS Jagan: Chandrababu is mocking Dr Ambedkar's ideals
Opposition Leader and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came down strongly against AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of BR Ambedkar on Thursday.
Opposition Leader and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy came down strongly against AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of BR Ambedkar on Thursday. Addressing on the occasion at YSRCP headquarters Lotus Pond, YS Jagan said that Chandrababu is showcasing artificial affection towards late NTR and BR Ambedkar. Jagan added further that by denying Constitutional benefits to SCs and STs, the Chief Minister was unashamedly mocking Ambedkar's ideals.
The YSRCP chief pointed out the negligence towards Dalits and tribals shown by Chandrababu's governance as 50 percent of the funds allotted to SCs and STs have never been spent while the tribal advisory committee for the welfare and development of tribals was never constituted.
Demanding that the SCs and STs who converted to Christianity should be allotted reservations irrespective of their religion, YS Jagan stated that Christianity conversion does not change the economic and social condition, hence their benefits should continue. He also faulted the administration of the Chief Minister for encouraging the defection of other party leaders.
