Speaking on the occasion, he said that the NDA government was striving to encourage SCs and STs to set up industries by directing the nationalised banks to grant a loan of Rs 1 crore without any surety.

Referring to false propaganda on abolition of reservation system, the MP said that as long as the BJP is in power, reservation system would continue Paying rich tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar here at an official function conducted by the Department of Social Welfare, Minister for Panchayat Raj Ch Ayyanna Patrudu said that Ambedkar was of the opinion that education alone could solve all problems.

He said that keeping the welfare of the poor in view, Ambedkar had created the provision of reservations for SCs and STs. He informed that the State government has earmarked a sum of Rs 1,100 crore from the SC, ST Sub-Plan for the construction of CC roads and approach roads in all SC and ST Colonies in the State.

Stating that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has launched the most prestigious NTR Housing Project in the State capital on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, he informed of the total six lakh two-bed room houses in the State, 50,000 houses were sanctioned to the district, a real tribute to the great Statesman.

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the Central and State governments are taking up various projects like houses for all and Pancha Theertha Scheme. Zilla Praja Parishad Chairperson Lalam Bhavani also spoke. Collector N Yuvaraj said that social evils like discrimination, suppression and exploitation prevailed only among human beings and not in any other creatures which could be gradually wiped out through awareness.

Informing that the State government has introduced 29 different welfare schemes for SCs and STs, he called upon the officials and public representatives to educate all deserved beneficiaries to get the fruits.
