Defected YSR Congress MLA Jaleel Khan on Friday revealed that 30 more YSRCP MLAs are all set to join the Telugu Desam Party.
Defected YSR Congress MLA Jaleel Khan on Friday revealed that 30 more YSRCP MLAs are all set to join the Telugu Desam Party. Speaking about the difference in the two parties, Jaleel Khan said that while MPs or MLAs are not given due respect within YSRCP, one needs to wait for appointment of party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as one can't approach him directly but with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, it is another way around as there are no hassles to reach him and bring issues to his notice.
The MLA for Vijayawada-West constituency said that the defections are taking place in Telangana are due to power but in AP, it is only due to the lack of leadership and respect that is resulting in the MLAs joining Telugu Desam Party.
When quizzed on the challenge thrown by the YSRCP MLAs, Jaleen Khan said that he is ready to resign and contest elections again. However, he counter challenged that if he wins the elections, will the YSRCP party close. Stating that the people who are making the challenging statements are also suffering in the party, Jaleel Khan without revealing names said that at least 30 more MLAs are willing to join TDP.
