CVP Sastry captured the auditorium on the second day of Swarajhari, at the 28th annual celebrations which started on Wednesday at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College. Sastry commenced his concert with ‘Kambhoji varnam’ and continued with the Mysore Vasudevachar’s keerthana ‘Pranamamyaham’ in Goula ragam.

He also sang the keerthans of Muthiah Bhagavatar’s ‘Vanchitonunna’ (Karnaranjani ragam), Bangaluru Krishnamurthy’s keerthana ‘Sangeeta Samrajya’ (Mohana Kalyani), Saint Tyagaraja keerthana ‘Okapari okapari’ in Kalavati ragam, another keerthana of Mysore Vasudevachar ‘Devadhideva Sri Vasudeva’ in Sunadavinodini ragam, Sadasivabrahmedraswamy’s keerthana ‘Pibare ramarasam’.

Sastry has chosen his own composition ‘Parameswara…Maheswra…Jagadheswara nanu brovuma Sankaraa’ in Kharaharapriya ragam as the main piece of the concert Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi. The concert went well and the audience enjoyed the essence of the concert. Sastry was instrumentally supported by Durga Bhavani on Violin, Suresh kumar on Mrudangam and Haribabu on Ghatam.
