28-year-old patient seeks help for treatment

A 28-year old man named Pratap Pradhan who is suffering from Prolactinoma, has appealed for public donation for her medical treatment. Pradhan who was a resident of Orrisa has discontinued his education after being affected with Prolactinoma disease while he was pursuing his intermediate education. His father was attender and is the sole earning member of the family.

Talking to the news men here on Sunday, K Ravi Kanth, Bariatric Surgeon of Endocare Hospitals said that patient Pratap Pradhan was admitted to the hospital with a brain tumor. With this the patient has gained weight up to 175 kg, where BMI stood at 69 with which came thyroid disease. Doctors at Orrisa referred him to get advanced treatment at Endocare Hospitals, Vijayawada.

After examining the patient for a period of ten days, we have come to conclusion that bariatric surgery is the correct treatment for controlling the patient weight. The treatment would cost Rs 4 lakh. “I appeal to all philanthropists to donate money for his medical treatment,” Pratap Pradhan said.
