Penukonda (Anantapur): We might have seen bulls in Telugu movies, which perform numerous feats as per the commands of the hero. Such bulls in real life are rare. Here is a young bull, which is disciplined and utterly loyal to its master. The proud owner of the bull is Nandeshwar of Gorantla. He earns a living by transporting goods on his cart drawn by a single bull. Unlike other bulls, there is no need to reprimand or crack a whip to goad it. After being tied to the cart, the bull does all routine things perfectly like a well-trained worker. It is worshipped before the start of its daily routine. Nandeshwar does not take its reins into his hands. He simply walks in front of the cart giving commands to the bull now and then during the transportation of goods. The bull obediently follows him. There is virtually no need to give instructions to the bull to perform its daily routine. It avoids fast approaching vehicles and people and overcome all the traffic hurdles in the way like a well-programmed robot or a remote controlled cart. The bull does not move if anyone other than its master drives the cart. Others cannot get the tasks accomplished by the bull. It stops at places wherever needed for loading and unloading of goods. The bull has a good fan following in the town. People look at the bull in awe while it is moving on the roads of Gorantla.
Speaking to The Hans India, Nandeshwar said: “I bought the bull four years ago for Rs 24,500. Under my care, the bull learnt to understand all my commands. As a disciplined and loyal domesticated animal, it performs all the tasks perfectly. Impressed by its discipline, some people came forward to purchase the bull from me at double the price. But I am not ready to sell my loyal companion, which is more valuable than money for me.”
