Two students attempt suicide after failing Inter exams

Two intermediate students attempted suicide on Tuesday after the results of the Intermediate Exams were declared in Andhra Pradesh. Both the students in different incidents, failed in their exams following which they attempted suicide. While one of them managed to survive, the other died.

Kothi Chiranjeevi of Eepur Mandal in Guntur district, having learnt that he had failed in Inter exams got depressed and committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. Another student, Sathi Shauriraju of Vanikunta village in Guntur district too attempted suicide after knowing his failure by cutting his hands, legs, and neck. Sathi Shauriraju is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
