Woman dies in hospital after delivery
The death of a woman after delivering a healthy baby boy at Ramya Hospitals here in the early hours of Thursday had left her relatives shattered and her neighbours agitated, leading to claims that she succumbed to negligence. Ganta Ramalakshmi, was married to Lova Raju of Vakalapudi, and the couple had a girl, apart from the newborn.

Ganta Ramalakshmi, was married to Lova Raju of Vakalapudi, and the couple had a girl, apart from the newborn.
Ramalakshmi who was admitted to Ramya Hospitals on Sunday, had given birth to a boy on Thursday. After the caesarian surgery, Ramalakshmi suffered extensive bleeding. Understanding the severity of the situation, the doctors of Ramya Hospitals referred her to Kakinada Government General Hospital (KGGH) where doctors pronounced her brought dead, even as her relatives were left clueless as to what could have caused her death. Alleging negligence by doctors, Ramalakshmi’s relatives protested outside Ramya Hospitals on Thursday.
