Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has decided to crack a whip on the institutions, film distributors, commercial establishments and individuals who are pasting posters in every nook and corner of the city in both private and public buildings. 

Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has decided to crack a whip on the institutions, film distributors, commercial establishments and individuals who are pasting posters in every nook and corner of the city in both private and public buildings.

The VMC has taken a decision to strictly punish the person(s) or institution(s) who are involved in this activity. Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has instructed the VMC officials to remove all the unauthorised hoardings, banners and make Vijayawada ‘Poster Free’ city.

The VMC commissioner G Veerapandiyan has appointed a team to apprehend the persons pasting the posters in the city and also warned that criminal cases would be booked under violation of law. The VMC has recently collected penalty of Rs 20,000 each from two institutions and registered criminal cases for sticking the posters recently.
