Officials told to speed up toilet construction

​Nellore: District Collector M Janaki made an appeal to engineering officials to work hard for making Nellore as defecation-free by the end of December 2016. Addressing a review meeting here on Tuesday, the Collector instructed officials to take measures for constructing individual toilets in 142 villages by May 10.

Janaki directed the officials to provide training to masons and workers in all Mandals on constructing the toilets according to specific design in a short time. Superintending Engineer of RWS R V Krishna Reddy said engineers have to insist for the stipulate design for construction of toilets and asked them to review periodically for assessing progress. RWS and Panchayat Raj engineering officials and others were present.
