YSRCP Gottipati Ravi Kumar makes a switch to TDP
With continuous defections taking place in the YSR Congress party, the number of members in the party is reducing drastically. Another MLA from the YSRCP party has decided to switch loyalties and join the Telugu Desam Party.
With continuous defections taking place in the YSR Congress party, the number of members in the party is reducing drastically. Another MLA from the YSRCP party has decided to switch loyalties and join the Telugu Desam Party. Addanki MLA Gottipati Ravi Kumar on Wednesday formally joined the ruling TDP in the presence of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada.
Gottipati Ravi Kumar was presented the yellow upper cloth by Chandrababu at the N Convention Centre amidst the TDP leaders - AP TDP president Kimidi Kala Venkatrao, Ministers Siddareddy, Narayana and Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao.
Ravi Kumar earlier faced opposition from the TDP leader Karanam Balaram but was convinced by Chief Minister. Reports suggest that Ravi Kumar agreed to join TDP after he was given an assurance of becoming the party in-charge for Addanki Assembly segment.
