Chess coaching camp inaugurated at Global Chess Academy

The summer coaching camp organised by Global Chess Academy was inaugurated by Dronacharya Award winner, Koneru Ashok here on Thursday. Interacting with the budding chess players, Ashok recollected his college days as a chess player.

Speaking on the occasion, he exhorted the players to practice regularly and analyse the games of various Grand Masters to hone their skills in openings, middle and end games. “Chess improves one's decision making skills and enhances memory power. Play the game without any tension and stay focused even when your chips are down," he said.

Academy secretary Sk Khasim said that the camp would have nine batches predominantly of schoolchildren and college students. The camps would be conducted at the main office of the academy at Prajasakthinagar, and also at Icon public school, Seetharampuram, Eluru road and Maa Play School, One Town till May 30.
