Following the proceedings over the AP Special Status in the Rajya Sabha, the state leaders are showing their resentment over the centre's attitude towards the issue. AP Ministers Ravela Kishore Babu and Prathipati Pulla Rao stated that the Rajya Sabha's outcome on the Special Status category is not final. Highlighting the clause of AP Re-Organisation Act, the Ministers assured that the government will not go back on Special Status at any cost.

YSRCP MP Mekapati Rajmohan Reddy too faulted the Centre for going back on the Special Status issue and said that the Modi government should complete the formalities left by previous Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government towards the issue.

TDP MLA Bonda Uma Maheswar Rao too found fault with the Centre's stand on the issue and asked the Prime Minister to intervene in the matter.
