Mana Vooru, Mana Badi, which literally means our village, our school was formally inaugurated at Srisailam Integrated Tribal Development Agency, here on Friday. This programme is being taken up by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with an intention to provide education for all.

Head Masters and teachers from Kurnool, Prakasam and Guntur attended the meet. Project officer B Srinivasa Rao said the students of ‘Managudem’ be included in ‘Manabadi’ for their better future. Though the government is taking several measures to provide free education, many children are seen working in fields and other areas, he said.

He exhorted teachers, local leaders especially parents to save the children from the exploitation and ensure compulsory education. Srisailam Project Residential School principal Hafeez Khadri, Prathibha School principal Chenna Reddy, Engineering Section DE Latha Thippi Reddy, AEs Jayaraju and Rajasekhar, tribal education officer A Prakasa Rao, local leaders Muganda, VTDAs Chinna Kondaiah, and others were present.
