The open ground at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium echoed loud laughter’s and saw simple giggles on Sunday morning where the regular walkers have immensely involved in laughing their hearts out until their stomach ached, to commemorate the World Laughter Day. The day is celebrated usually on first Sunday of every May.

Fun and frolic marked the event which kick started at 6.30 am where members of the Laughing Club of the city chanted the laughing mantras ‘Hoho Haha’, ‘1,2,3 Laughing is Free’ and enjoyed the jokes and pranks played on one another.

The event taught the walkers who were new to the laughing club about techniques of laughing and revised the health benefits of laughing out loud for a sound body and mind.

A few performances like monoaction, skit and jokes cracking competition enthralled the gathering. Members of the Laughing Club and IGMC Walkers Association took part in the programme.
