SV Mohan Reddy joins the list of defectors to TDP
YSR Congress in the last elections showed its full strength in Kurnool district by gaining two parliamentary seats and 11 of the 14 assembly seats.
YSR Congress in the last elections showed its full strength in Kurnool district by gaining two parliamentary seats and 11 of the 14 assembly seats. However, the party is losing it's strength on a daily basis following constant defections. The latest to join the list of defectors is YSRCP MLA SV Mohan Reddy who has decided to leave the party from the key Kurnool district and defect to the ruling TDP.
The YSRCP leader who was earlier elected as an MLC had won on the party ticket in the 2014 elections by defeating industrialist TG Venkatesh. SV Mohan Reddy will be joining TDP on May 7th in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Mohan Reddy is the brother of Shoba Nagi Reddy, wife of Bhuma Nagi Reddy who recently defected to TDP along with his daughter Akhila Priya. He will be the fifth MLA from YSR Congress to join TDP from Kurnool district.
