KL University Engineering Entrance Test (KLUEEE 2016) results were released at the University’s administrative office here on Tuesday. As many as 18,500 candidates seeking seat in various engineering disciplines were qualified in the test. Students of the corporate education institutions bagged top ranks in the entrance test.

Addressing the newspersons, vice president of the university K Raja Hareen said that about 60 per cent of boys and 40 per cent of girls who appeared for the test have been qualified. The first rank is at 146 marks secured by a student SNVS Krishna Prashanth, who along with 9 other rankers will access free tuition fee at the institution. Counseling for the students will be held from May 19.

Raja Hareen further said that they have introduced undergraduate courses like B Pharmacy and Bachelors in Civil Services from academic year of 2016. The Engineering segment is offering about 3000 seats in 8 engineering branches with 60 specialisations.

For merit students who top the university test and score ranks in JEE, IIT advanced tests along with EAMCET and CBSE plus 2, management had decided to offer a fee waiver. Scholarship programmes for the backward classes is applicable, he added. Vice chancellor of the university LSS Reddy, Pro-VC AVS Prasad, Director for admissions P Srinivas were also present.
