Intake of good food is essential for everyone to be physically fit and healthy, said eminent nutritionist Vijaya Hasini. Delivering a guest lecture on `Food - Health’ organised by the Physical Education Department of PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science in the city on Thursday evening, she said that consumption of adequate quantity of water, breakfast and nutritious diet, doing regular exercise and development of positive attitude are also vital to keep diseases at bay.

Good eating habits and balanced diet assume greater significance in the modern day lifestyle for a healthy society, she added. Yoga students attended the guest lecture. Siddhartha Committee member Y Lalitha felicitated Vijaya Hasini on the occasion. Siddhartha College Physical Education Department Head and Yoga course coordinator N Srinivasa Rao proposed a vote of thanks.
